Second National seminar On Respiratory diseases
Second national seminar was conducted on February 5th and 6th of 2010 at SOUKYA at SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre.
- The seminar was inaugurated by Shri Sreekantiah, Director, Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka.
- Dr. Veerabrahmachary, President, Karnataka Board of Homeopathy System of Medicines and Dr. Sreevatsan, Member, CCH were present during the inauguration and also for the two day seminar.
- There was active participation from the delegates.
- The speakers were
1. Dr. Kim Jobst, MA, DM MRCP MF Hom, Functional Shift Consulting Ltd on Symbolism and meaning of the Respiratory system and Respiratory disease and its potential impact on case taking and homoeopathic prescribing.
2. Dr Abraham, MBBS, MD Internal Medicine, MF. Hom (London) on Complete cure of bronchial asthma in children is possible (A study of 20 years of work). Dr. Abraham emphasized on diet and lifestyle management in curing asthma.
3. Dr. B T Rudresh, MD (Hom) on Clinical experience in acute and chronic asthma. Dr. Rudresh shared few of his successful cases.
4. Dr Sundeep Salvi, MD, DNB, PhD (UK), FCCP (USSA), Director, Chest Research Foundation, Pune, and Sneha Limaye, MBBS, PDCR conducted a workshop on Spirometry. They explained about how to perform Spirometry and how to interpret the graph. Dr. Sundeep Salvi also talked on Basics and principles of management of asthma and COPD, successful application of allopathy and homeopathy inpatient care.
5. Dr. Ramdas Acharya, MD (Hom) on Homeopathic approach in treating Respiratory conditions.
6. Dr Eswara Das, MD (Hom), MBA (Health Care) on Schemes and Centre of Excellence by GOI and the relevance of our Centre of Excellence. Dr Eswara Das encouraged for new research in Homeoapthy and look at Centre of Excellences for pain management etc.
7. Dr. Jayesh V Sanghvi, MD (Hom) on Success of Homeopathy in clinical respiratory emergency and chronic respiratory condition. Dr. Jayesh explained different cases with different potencies and also cases managed with inhalation and rubbing of potencies.
8. Dr. Sudha BHMC, Senior Physician, SOUKYA on Work on Centre of Excellence, evidence based study on Spirometry using homeopathic medicines. Dr. Sudha gave details about the Centre of Excellence and its work over the past 1 ½ years. She explained 4 cases with evidence of relief using Spirometry reports.
9. Dr. N Srinivas Rao MD (Hom) on Utility of mother tinctures in acute respiratory conditions. Dr. Srinivas explained rare mother tinctures useful in various respiratory conditions.
- The seminar was attended by about 100 doctors from different parts of South India.
- The doctors were invited to send their respiratory cases to our COE for through evaluation and investigation. The case with all the investigation reports and evaluation report would be sent back to the respective doctors.
- Certificate of participation were distributed to the delegates.
- The Seminar was a wonderful learning experience for all who were present.
