WORK IN RURAL AREAS
- Since June 2008 through Holistic Homeopathy Clinic – Shishu Mandir School for Orphans and also covers the villages Seegehalli, Butterahalli, Kithaganur, Medahalli, Jyothi Nagar, Anandapura, Parvathy nagar and Janata Colony.
- Through its mobile clinic since 2009 to 2013 provided Homeopathy treatments at Doddanallala, Doddadevahalli, Ummulu, and Chikkanallala. All these villages are in Doddanallala Panchayat in Hoskote Taluk.
- Through its various health and community outreach programmes is reaching out to a population of 26,500 in 38 villages with the boundaries of East- Kattigenhalli, West-Harluru; North- Kombluru; South-Vagata of Hoskote Taluk Bengaluru Rural since January 2013.

Through its Mobile Clinic since 2009 to 2013 provided Homeopathy treatments at Doddanallala, Doddadevahalli, Ummulu, and Chikkanallala. All these villages are in Doddanallala Panchayat in Hoskote Taluk.
- Through its various health and community outreach programmes is reaching out to a population of nearly 1.5 lakhs in 150 villages.
- Focused work in this area covers the population of 5819 people belonging to Jadigenahalli Grama Panchayath namely Jadigenahalli, Kolathur, Haralur, KB Hosahalli, Govindapura, Vadigenahalli, Kurubaragollahalli in Hoskote Taluk, Bengaluru Rural.

A baseline Household Survey by the Community Health Division of Bangalore Baptist Hospital
A baseline household survey was done in the 7 villages of the Panchayath by the Community Health Division of Bangalore Baptist Hospital. Demographics, education, occupation, knowledge about organic farming, socio-economic status, dietary habits, harmful personal habits, physical activity levels, environmental sanitation, maternal and child health practices, accessibility of healthcare and health seeking behaviour, morbidity, geriatric problems, medications, awareness of AYUSH systems of medicines, and prevalent disease conditions were surveyed.
The major health issues within the rural population related to Geriatric issues, Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, skin conditions, Asthma, Respiratory tract infections, Thyroid disease, Allergies etc. A minor population also had seizure, cancer and stroke.
The effectiveness of this programme was further studied by Prof. Dr. K.V. Raju, Dr. Manasi, Hemalatha B.R, Rashmi K.P, Poornima S of the Institute of Social and Economic Changes (ISEC) Bengaluru.

PATIENT CARE
- Conditions - Arthritis, Respiratory, Diabetes Mellitus, Skin & Gastric complaints, Female complaints
- An average of 80 patients a day since 2013.
- Consultations in Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Naturopathy and Therapy Yoga are provided.
- Homeopathic medicines are provided free of cost to all patients. Ayurvedic medicine is free for all patients holding BPL card.
- Time spent with each patient first time-up to 30 minutes.
- Medicines for 15 days. Chronic conditions need minimum 3 months treatment
- Reference to PHC, District hospitals is done were necessary

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORK
- Doctors will visit adopted 7 villages 3 times a week
- Asha worker give prior information and gather people at Houses, Schools, Anganawadi
- Talks conducted on DMRC, Community awareness, Preventive medicine, Health & Hygiene, Addictions, Stress, Diet, Vector Borne Diseases.
IMMUNITY BOOSTING HOMEOPATHIC MEDICAL KIT DISTRIBUTION
- The ASHA workers have gone to all houses in 3 villages to distribute the Immune Boosting Homeopathic Medical Kit during the COVID-19 Pandemic. These Kits were distributed to 90% of the houses, as the remaining 10% of the houses were not interested to take these medicines.
VILLAGE SURVEY
- One Doctor and ASHA worker visit each house in the villages and check their height, weight, BP, GRBS, etc. If the person is anaemic, hypertensive or diabetic then he is advised to come to DMRC for further checkup and treatment.
- Till date survey in 6 villages has been completed.
- Once the completion of health checkup, then the respective family is given with one medicinal kit.

- Information on home remedies with practical demonstration and use of specific remedy in specific acute aliment to treat in home level.
- A well received programme and on follow up visit of Doctors noted they have started practicing the health tips given by us
RESPIRATORY CAMP
- Free Spirometry (Lung Function test) done for Respiratory cases.
CHILD HEALTH PPROGRAMME
- School & Anganawadi Health check up on a regular basis.
- Homeopathy medicines especially on Colds and Coughs.
- Reference to hospitals for seriously ill children
- Every month 100 to 150 children benefit in this work.
- 5 Government Schools and 6 Anganwadis are taken care of, where a separate Case Sheet is maintained for each child. The child is being educated regarding the importance of maintaining personal hygiene.
- Each school is provided with a Medical Kit and advised to refill, when the doctor is visiting for further follow up.
MEDICAL CAMPS
- All villages covered and conducted in the schools till 2017 and thereafter in houses. Adequate notices in the form of pamphlets and Asha worker information planned. Their case follow up planned at DMRC
- Consultations by Homoeopathic, Ayurvedic, Naturopathy, Yoga team of doctors
- Supported by Pharmacist, Asha workers.
- At the camp, Registration, Free Ayurveda, Homeopathy medicines along with Flu preventive homoeopathic medicines.
- Every first Saturday of the month, a Free Camp is conducted at Hoskote Swami Vivekanda School, where nearly 100-120 patients get benefitted with free Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines.
- During 2015-2016, we held a Free Camp for Respiratory Diseases in all 7 villages. Free Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy consultations and medicines were given to the patients. Free Spirometry checkup was done for patients with respiratory diseases and Free Hemoglobin & Blood sugar checkup was done for all suspected cases.
- Detection of Illness and Blood Grouping Camp done in 2017.
- Detected diabetes in people who were previously unaware of it and providing integrative medical care for the condition
- Blood grouping of children of the Panchayath.
- Study of prevalence of Anemia, Malnutrition and Respiratory Diseases in Children being conducted
LABORATORY FOR BLOOD TEST
- Free blood test for all below poverty line (BPL) card holders as required like Complete Haemogram, Liver Function Test, Renal Function Test, Fasting/Post prandial blood sugar, Lipid profile, Uric acid test.
ON GOING PROJECT: Ten Medicinal Plants planted in 800 Households, 5 Schools Gardens and Training 100 farmers at Jadigenahalli Grampanchayath, Hoskote Bengaluru Rural, with National Medicinal Plants Board, Department of AYUSH, Government of India (2015 - 2018)
- The Herbal medicinal cultivation and their use in day to day life to treat acute cases.
- Detailed information given about the medicinal plants and useful part of herb to be collected for medicinal use with respect to season.
- Encourage Krushi (Agriculture) on cultivating ayurveda medicinal plants and marketing.
- Plant distribution: Medicinal plants distributed to villagers and their feedback on the programme collected.
- Supervision: Supervision of cultivated herbs done by AYUSH doctors on weekly basis done.
- Connect with Government officials on subsidy and related information.
MEDICAL KIT DISTRIBUTION
- Distribution of Medical Kits: The Homeopathic and Ayurvedic Doctors have distributed a Self Help Basic Medical Kit, explaining clearly the Instructions in Kannada that go with each Kit, on the condition and indication of the medicines to be taken.
- Content of Kit: The Medical Kit includes Basic First Aid, Homeopathic medicines, Ayurveda oils with clear Instructions in Kannada.
- Awareness and Education about the Medical Kit: The doctors explain clearly with the Instruction Chart that is part of the Kit, on how to use the medicines at home by using the chart, which contains aliments with respect to medicines for acute cases.
- Outreach of Medical Kits: Distributed to 1000 homes in 7 villages.
DE ADDICTION PROGRAMME
- Counselling and effective treatments in Alcohol, Smoking and other addictions is carried out through Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga.
PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

Preventive kits are being distributed in the villages during an epidemic, like Chikungunea, Dengue, Flu, etc. and advice given at the village and schools with follow ups
